About Jacob Neal
There is a reason master colorist/stylist Jacob Neal is celebrated by many top athletes. It is what landed him guest appearances on Good Morning America, Entertainment Tonight and American Idol. It is also what led him to become a spokesperson for Clairol for more than 18 years. The reason is that Jacob Neal understands that not only professional sportswomen, but all women need gorgeous-looking hair that can stand up to all kinds of weather, a lot of strenuous movement and a generally frenetic lifestyle. His low maintenance, high-performance philosophy accomplishes this with precision-cut hair styles that look great at the start, grow out in manageable proportions and lend themselves to complete styling control and versatility under almost any circumstances.
Earning his degree in Ohio at the Columbus College of Art and Design, Jacob credits his artistic background as giving him the eye for form, shape, balance, and color that has made him a legend among female sports stars. His name has adorned prestigious salons around the country from his first at the Hilton Head Resort in South Carolina, to the Sherry Netherland Hotel in New York, and to his ultimate salon in the Short North of Columbus, OH.
Jacob worked as a fashion and beauty consultant for ABC affiliate WSYZ-TV for more than 12 years, where he performed weekly makeovers. His ability to teach others quick and easy-to-master techniques for controlling and managing their own hair has also made him popular in teaching sessions for hairdressers and consumers around the country. Jacob is also the author of High Performance Hair, which, published by McGraw-Hill, celebrates numerous women athletes and provides countless hair tips for the active woman.
